“I am not sure of his popularity when compared to 1998. The latest developments – the Saiful event and the statutory declaration by private investigator P. Balasubramaniam – have affected Anwar’s credibility.
“Still, his ability to lead is unquestionable. It’s arguable that the Malay community is also starting to believe the accusations against Anwar. His delay in taking an oath to swear on the Quran is also an issue.”

Kekeliruan terlerai
BismilLah,wassolatu wassalamu ‘ala saiyyidina Rasulillah,wa ‘ala alihi wa ashabihi wa man nasarahu wa walahu, amma ba’du;
Salam ISLAH,
Berilah kepercayaan kemudian berlapang dadalah.
Kenyataan Presiden pun memang begitu,"

Rejecting an empty Philosophy
Rejecting an empty Philosophy
(From Ali Syariati's book HAJJ)
Life today (not life as it should be carried on) is an idle cyclical action
a movement with no goal! A meaningless pendular action starts with the day
only to end at night and night starts only to disappear at dawn. In the
mean time, man is busy watching the play of these black and white "rats" who
chew the strings of our life until we die.
Life (as we live it) is like a theater. Man watches these aimless nights
and days. Indeed, what foolish play is conducted! When you are in need, you
hope and struggle to overcome your needs. Yet once you achieve this, you view
your past efforts humorously. What a senseless philosophy to live by!
Living on a day to day basis, the person lacks direction. His aim is only
to live. What exists is a dead spirit in a living body. However, the Hajj
experience alters this unhealthy condition!
Once you decide to perform Hajj and take the necessary steps, you are on
the road to the actualization of Hajj. Before going to Hajj you reside in your
home calm and reposed. Upon entering the state of mind for Hajj, you arise
and move away from your routine environment.
Hajj is the antithesis of aimlessness. It is the rebellion against a damned
fate guided by evilforces. The fulfillment of Hajj will enable you to
escape from the complex network of puzzles. This revolutionary act will reveal to
you the clear horizon and free way to migration to eternity toward the
Almighty Allah.
Depart from your home. and visit "Allah's house", or the "house of the
people"! You, whoever you are, you are a man, Adam's son, and a
representative of Allah on earth! You are a relative of Allah, Allah's
trustee, His master of nature and a student of God. Allah taught you the
names. He made you from His spirit and endowed you with special qualities.
You were praised by Him; His angels even prostrated to you. This earth and
everything in it was made available to man. God became your "homemate",
with you at all times and watching all of your actions. Are you living up
to His expectation?
Prophet (PBUH):
Allah is in the hearts of the believers
Quran XXIX:3
Thus Allah knoweth those who are sincere, and knoweth those who feign
Quran LVII: 25
And that Allah may know him who helpeth Him and His messenger, though
unseen.
Quran XVII: 7
LO! We have placed all that is in the earth as an ornament thereof
that we may try them: which of them is best in conduct.
Quran LXVII: 2
Who hath created life and death that He may try you, which of you is
best in conduct; and he is the Mighty, the Forgiving,
With the passage of time and the influence of various forces of the social
system which disregard human rights and duties, your character has been
changed. The vicissitudes of life have affected you to the degree that you
became alienated and neglectful. Originally, with Allah's spirit in your
heart, you were supposed to shoulder the responsibility of being Allah's
trustee on earth. You were granted time as a means for fulfilling this task
but you failed because the gift was used carelessly!
Quran CIII: 2-3
By the declining day, LO! man is in a state of loss,
This is what is called life! But realistically speaking what has been
accomplished? What constructive contributions have you made? What have
you gained? So many precious years have been lost, yet who are you?
Oh trustee and vicegerent of Allah on earth, you have turned to money, sex,
greed, aggression, and dishonesty. You have regressed to the inferior status
that you occupied before almighty Allah blew His spirit into you. Where is
the spirit of Allah now? Oh man, rise out of this decadent situation!
Divorce yourself from this gradual death.
Leave your surroundings and go to the pure land. There you may face Almighty
Allah under the inspiring sky of Mashar. The estrangement which you have
experienced will be overcome. At last, you will find yourself!
Reaching towards Allah
Hajj occurs during the highly respected month of Zul-Hijjah'. The land of
Makkah (Mecca) is tranquil and peaceful. Instead of fear, hatred, and war,
the desert is characterized by security and peace. An atmosphere for
worship where people are free to face Almighty God is prevalent.
Do you not hear Ibrahim's command:
Quran XXII: 27
And call upon the people for Hajj. They will come to you on their bare
feet or riding any weak camel and they come to you from every far desert.
You, oh Mud, search for and follow the spirit of Allah! Accept his
invitation; leave your home in order to "see" Him. He is waiting for You!
Human existence is frivolous unless one's aim is to approach the spirit of
Allah. Separate yourself from all those needs and greeds which distract you
from Allah. Therefore, join the eternal human migration to Hajj. "See"
Almighty Allah!
Before departing to perform Hajj, all of your debts should be paid. Your
hates and angers toward relatives or friends must disappear. A will must
be drawn. All of these gestures are an exercise in the preparation for death
(which will overtake everyone some day). These acts guarantee your personal
and financial clearance. The last moments of farewell and the future of man
are symbolized.
Now you are free to join eternity. On the day of resurrection, when "you can
do nothing" in Allah's court, where "your eyes, ears, and heart are the
best witnesses of what you have done,"
Quran XVII: 36
You and every organ of your body are responsible for your deeds. While
you are in this "house of correction" get ready for the "house of
justice". Exercise death before you die-go to Hajj!
Hajj represents your return to Allah, the absolute, who has no limitations
and none is like Him. To return to Him signifies a definite movement toward
perfection, goodness, beauty, power knowledge, value, and facts. On your way
toward the eternal, you will NEVER approach Allah. He is to guide you in
the right direction and not to be your destination!
Islam is different from Sufism. A Sufi lives "in the name of Allah", and
dies "for the sake of Allah". But, a Muslim strives to approach Almighty
God
To Allah we belong and to Him is our return.
Quran II:156 & XLII:53
All affairs tend toward Allah.
Our goal is not to "perish", but to "bloom". This is done not "for Allah"
but rather to bring us "toward Him". Allah is not so far away from you;
therefore, try to reach Him! Allah is closer to you than yourself!
Quran L:16
We are nearer to him than his jugular vein.
On the other hand, everyone beside Allah is too far to be reached! Oh man,
all the angels prostrated to you; yet, through the passage of time and
societal influence you have changed greatly. You have not abided by your
promise to worship none but Almighty Allah. Instead, you have become a
slave to idols, some of which are man-made.
Quran LIV: 54
In an assembly of truth, in the presence of a sovereign omnipotent.
Your nature is characterized by loyalty to other individuals, selfdevotion,
cruelty, ignorance, a lack of direction, fearfulness, and greediness! This
life has caused you to acquire animalistic traits. Now you are like a
"wolf", "fox", "rat", or "sheep".
Oh man, return to your origin. Go to Hajj and visit your best friend who
created you as the best creature. He is waiting to see you! Leave the
palaces of power, the treasures of wealth and the misleading temples.
Dismember yourself from the flock of those animals whose shepherd is the
wolf. Join the flock at Miad who is going to see the house of Allah or the
house of the people.
Entering Miqat and becoming One
The show begins at Miqat. At this point, the actor (mankind) must change
his clothes. Why? Because one's attire covers the person as well as his
character. In other words, an individual doesn't wear clothes, but rather,
the clothes cover him!
Clothes symbolize, pattern, preference, status, and distinction. They create
superficial "borders" which cause "separation" between people. In most
cases, "separation" between people, gives birth to "discrimination".
Furthermore the concept of "I" not "we" emerges! "I" is used in the context
of my race, my class, my clan, my group, my position, my family, my values,
and not "I" as a human being.
So many "borders" have been created in our lives. The descendants of Cain,
the executioners and the cruels split Adam's family and mankind's unity
into many parts and factions. What resulted were the following relationships:
master and servant, oppressor and oppressed, colonialist and
colonialized, exploiter and exploited, strong and weak, rich
and poor, nourished and malnurished, honored and dishonored,
happy and unhappy, noble persons and lay persons, civilized
and uncivilized, Eastern and Western, Arab and Ajam and etc.
Humanity is divided into races, nations, classes, subclasses, groups, and
families. Each one has its own distinct status and values, names and honors.
And-for what? All this just to show "ones-self-but under so much "make-up"!
Now take off your clothes. Leave them at Miqat. Wear the Kafan which
consists of plain white material. You will be dressed like everyone else. See the
uniformity appear! Be a particle and join the mass; as a drop, enter the ocean.
Don't be proud, you are not here to see somebody, but be humble. You
will be seeing Allah. Be the one who realizes his mortality or a mortal
who feels his existence.
At Miqat, regardless of your race or tribe, you must doff all the covers
you wore in your daily life as:
- a wolf (symbolizing fierceness and oppression),
- a rat (symbolizing slyness),
- a fox (symbolizing craftiness),
- or a sheep (symbolizing slavery).
Leave all these in Miqat and assume your original shape as a "man" - just
one "Adam" as you will be at the end, as one "dead"!
Wrap yourself in two pieces of cloth. One covers your shoulders and the other
goes around your waist. No special style or material is used. It is made of
very plain and simple fabric. Everyone is wearing the same outfit (Ihram).
No distinctions in appearance are visible.
The caravans from all over the world which are traveling to Hajj will
congregate at Miqat. They will meet at the same time and at the same place!
On his way to Allah, man is not just "to be" but he is "to become" what he
should be!
Quran XXIV:42
And unto Allah is the journeying.
How wonderful! Everything is moving - evolution, death and life, life and
death, contradiction, change, and direction.
Quran XXVIII:88
Everything will perish save His countenance.
And Allah is the "absolute" - being, perfect, and eternal!
Quran LV:29
Everyday He exerciseth (universal) power.
Hajj is also a movement. Man decides to return toward Allah. All of his egos
and selfish tendencies are buried at Miqat (Zu-halifa). He witnesses his own
dead body and visits his own grave. Man is reminded of the final goal of his
life. He experiences death at Miqat and resurrection afterwhich he must
continue his mission in the desert between Miqat and Miad.
The scene is like the day of judgment. From one horizon to the other, a
"flood of whites" appears. All the people are wearing the Kafan. No one
can be recognized. The bodies were left in Miqat and the souls are
motivated here. Names, races, nor social status make a difference in this great
combination. An atmosphere of genuine unity prevails. It is a human show
of Allah's unity.
Fear and pleasure, excitement and charm, perplexity and rapture all appear
as minute particles in a magnetic field. Allah is in its center (qibla')!
Only man shows himself. He is situated in one direction which is toward
Allah. In this desert all the nations and groups merge into one tribe. They
face one Kaaba.
Once you remove your clothes and all the signs which distinguish "you" as
An individual, you may enter into the heart of the crowd. In the state of
Ihram', try to forget the things that remind you of your life.
Everyone "melts" himself and assumes a new form as a "mankind". The egos
and individual traits are buried. The group becomes a "people" or an "Umma".
All the l's have died in Miqat; what has evolved is "We".
By the time you leave Mina you should have integrated into the Umma. This
is what Ibrahim did. You are also supposed to act like Ibrahim.
Quran XVI: 120
Lo Abraham was a nation obedient to Allah, by nature upright, and he was
not of the idolators.
At last, one is all and all is one! Everyone is equal. The society of
polytheism is converted into one of monotheism or Tawhid. This is the
Umma or the society which is onto the right path. It should be a society
which is perfect, active and led by Islamic leadership (Imamat).
Everyone performing Hajj has turned away from himself to face Allah. He has
been endowed with the spirit of Allah. You have gone from an exile to the
hereafter. You have been exposed to the absolute facts. You have overcome
ignorance and oppression and have been enlightened by consciousness and
justice. You have rejected polytheism and adopted monotheism.
Previous to the performance of Hajj, the people neglected their human
quality. They were alienated by power, wealth, family, land, and race.
Their life was only in the context of mere "existence". Finally, the
experience of Hajj allowed them to achieve self-discovery. Now they
perceived each other collectively as "one", and individually as a "man"
NOTHING ELSE!
Declaring your Intention
NIYAT
Before entering Miqat, which is the beginning of a great change and
revolution, you must declare your intention. What does this encompass? It
is the intention of a "transferral" from your house to the house of people,
from life to love, from the self to Allah, from slavery to freedom, from
racial discrimination to equality, sincerity and truth, from being clothed
to being naked, from a daily life to an eternal life and from selfishness
and aimlessness to devotion and responsibility. In summary, it is a
transferral into the state of "Ihram" .
Therefore, your intention must be strongly asserted. You will grow out of
your "shell" as do the seeds of dates. Being extremely conscious, you must
have faith in your heart. Enlighten your heart with the flame of love;
"shine" and "shine". Forget all about yourself! In the past, your life was
characterized by "negligence" and "ignorance" You were helpless in all
aspects of existence. Even in the realm of your job, you became a slave,
working either as a habit or by force! Now, shed this pattern of life!
Become genuinely "conscious" of Almighty Allah, the people and yourself!
Choose a new job, a new direction and a new "self"!
Praying in Miqat
When at Miqat and ready to start the Hajj, you are aware of what must be
done and why. In the Ihram attire you will perform the prayer of Ihram,
presenting yourself to the Almighty Allah. Say - Oh Allah, I No More
worship the idols, and No More am I the slave of Nimrod'.
Oh Allah, I am standing in front of you with the gesture of Ibrahim not as
an oppressor (wolf), not as a cheater (fox), not as a hoarder(rat). Nay, I
face you as a "man" wearing the same clothes that I will wear when I see
you in the hereafter. This means that you willingly and consciously want to
obey Allah and become His slave. You will rebel against anyone and anything
beside Allah. Your readiness to exercise necessary duties is expressed.
Such a position is not different from the regular prayer, but at this time it is
like a more intimate talk to Allah. It is as if Allah's presence can be
felt.
Say:
Oh the most gracious and the most merciful, whose glory and mercy go
beyond the limits of friends and enemies, the righteous and the sinful,
the believers and non-believers ... Oh Allah, I worship you since you are
the only one who deserves to be worshipped. I choose no master, but you,
the master and owner of the day of judgment". Quran I:2-4.
Quran I:5
Thee (alone) we worship; thee (alone) we ask for help.
Oh our only love, Oh our only help! See how we are lost by our ignorance!
See how we are misled by the oppressors! See how we are limited by our
weakness!
Quran I:6
Show us the Straight Path - the path of truth, consciousness, fact,
beauty, perfection, love, and goodness.
Quran I:7
The path of those whom thou hast favored, Not (the the path) of those
who earn thine anger nor of those who go astray.
At Miqat in the white dress of the hereafter, each bow denies and asks
forgiveness for the wrong deeds which were motivated by fear and greed.
They were committed during your life. Each prostration asks forgiveness
for those which were done in the Courts of Powers.
The prayer at Miqat is a promise to Allah that there will be no prostration
nor bowing to anyone other than Him!
Peace be upon you Oh Mohammad, His slave and Messenger
Peace by upon you and those obedients of Allah and the good doers.
Peace be upon you ...
All these are phrases which refer to the "near ... not the far".
Allah, Ibrahim, Mohammad, people, heaven, the hereafter, salvation, freedom,
love and etc. are all present at Miqat. Dressed in the colorless clothes of
Ihram, you experience a new birth - a resurrection! No longer will Satan,
who rejected Allah's command, cheat you. No longer will you feel like a
stranger. Shameful and apologetic, you return to Allah. But now you are
free and responsible!
This is done not "for Allah"
but rather to bring us "toward Him". Allah is not so far away from you;
therefore, try to reach Him!
Being extremely conscious, you must
have faith in your heart. Enlighten your heart with the flame of love;

"Most Influential Person In History" - Michael H. Hart
"My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular level." [Michael H. Hart, THE 100: A RANKING OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSONS IN HISTORY, New York: Hart Publishing Company, Inc., 1978, p. 33.]
Fastest growing religion in America - Hillary Rodman Clinton

Moslems - fastest growing group... - USA Today
Already more than a billion-people strong, Islam is the world’s fastest-growing religion. [ABCNEWS, Abcnews.com]
God sent me Quran - Cat Stevens (former Jazz singer from England)
"Everything made so much sense. This is the beauty of the Qur'an; it asks you to reflect and reason....When I read the Qur'an further, it talked about prayer, kindness and charity. I was not a Muslim yet, but I felt the only answer for me was the Qur'an and God had sent it to me." [Cat Stevens (Now Yusuf Islam), former British pop star.]
"Islam is the fastest-growing religion in the country." [NEWSDAY, March 7, 1989, p.4]
"Islam is the fastest-growing religion in the United States..." [NEW YORK TIMES, Feb 21, 1989, p.1]

"Islam is the fastest growing religion in North America." [TIMES MAGAZINE]
"Islam continues to grow in America, and no one can doubt that!" [CNN, December 15, 1995]
"The Religion of Islam is growing faster than any other religion in the world." [MIKE WALLACE, 60 MINUTES]
"Five to 6 million strong, Muslims in America already outnumber Presbyterians, Episcopalians, and Mormons, and they are more numerous than Quakers, Unitarians, Seventh-day Adventists, Mennonites, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Christian Scientists, combined. Many demographers say Islam has overtaken Judaism as the country's second-most commonly practiced religion; others say it is in the passing lane." [JOHAN BLANK, US NEWS (7/20/98)]
"In fact, Religion experts say Islam is the second-largest religion in the United States... Islam has 5 million to 6 million members, followed by Judaism, with approximately 4.5 million..... And Islam is believed to be fastest-growing religion in the country, with half its expansion coming from new immigrants and the other half from conversions." [By ELSA C. ARNETT Knight-Ridder News Service]
"It has been a great pleasure for me to help clarify statements in the Quran about human development. It is clear to me that these statements must have come to Muhammad from Allah, or Allah, because almost all of this knowledge was not discovered until many centuries later. This proves to me that Muhammad must have been a messenger of God or Allah." Professor Keith Moore, one of the world’s prominent scientists of anatomy and embryology. University of Toronto, Canada]
"But Islam has a still further service to render to the cause of humanity. It stands after all nearer to the real East than Europe does, and it possesses a magnificent tradition of inter-racial understanding and cooperation. No other society has such a record of success uniting in an equality of status, of opportunity, and of endeavours so many and so various races of mankind . . . Islam has still the power to reconcile apparently irreconcilable elements of race and tradition. If ever the opposition of the great societies of East and West is to be replaced by cooperation, the mediation of Islam is an indispensable condition. In its hands lies very largely the solution of the problem with which Europe is faced in its relation with East. If they unite, the hope of a peaceful issue is immeasurably enhanced. But if Europe, by rejecting the cooperation of Islam, throws it into the arms of its rivals, the issue can only be disastrous for both." [H.A.R. Gibb, WHITHER ISLAM, London, 1932, P. 379.]
"It (Islam) replaced monkishness by manliness. It gives hope to the slave, brotherhood to mankind, and recognition of the fundamental facts of human nature." [Canon Taylor, Paper read before the Church Congress at Walverhamton, Oct. 7, 1887; Quoted by Arnoud in THE PREACHING OF ISLAM, pp. 71-72.]
The founder of twenty terrestrial empires and of one spiritual empire, that is Muhammed. As regards all standards by which
human greatness may be measured, we may well ask, is there any man greater than he? " [Lamartine, Historie de la Turquie, Paris 1854, Vol. 11 pp. 276-2727]
"If a man like Muhammed were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems that would bring it the much needed peace and happiness." [George Bernard Shaw]
"How, for instance, can any other appeal stand against that of the Moslem who, in approaching the pagan, says to him, however obscure or degraded he may be 'Embrace the faith, and you are at once equal and a brother.' Islam knows no color line." [S. S. Leeder, VEILED MYSTERIES OF EGYPT]
I think it seems to me very, very mysterious, almost unbelievable. I really think if what you have said is true, [Professor Siaveda , He is also one of the most famous scientists in the world.]
Professor William W. Hay is one of the best known marine scientists in the United States. satellite photography and emote-sensing techniques. Professor Hay replied: I find it very interesting that this sort of information is in the ancient scripture of the Holy Quran, and I have no way of knowing where they would come from, but I think it is extremely interesting that they are there and that this work is going on to discover it, the meaning of some of the passages. Professor Hay: Well, I would think it must be the divine being!
[Professor Yushudi Kusan: Director of the Tokyo Observatory] I can say, I am very mush impressed by finding true astronomical facts in the Quran.
[Professor Alfred Kroner who is one of the world’s most famous geologists] "Thinking about many of these questions and thinking where Muhammad came from, he was after all a bedouin. I think it is almost impossible that he could have known about things like the common origin of the universe,
because scientists have only found out within the last few years with very complicated and advanced technological methods that this is the case.
[Dr. T.V.N. Persaud is a Professor of Anatomy and Head of the Department of Anatomy, and a professor of Pediatrics and Child Health, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He is the author or editor of 25 books, and has published over 181 scientific papers. In 1991, he received the most distinguished award presented in the field of anatomy in Canada.]
"It seems to me that Muhammad was a very ordinary man. He could not read or write. In fact, he was illiterate. We are talking about 1400 years ago. You have someone who was illiterate making profound pronouncement
and statements and are amazingly accurate about scientific nature. I personally cannot see how this could be mere chance. There are too many accuracy’s and, like Dr. Moore, I have no difficulty in my mind in concerning that this is a divine inspiration or revelation which led him to these statements."
Joe Leigh Simpson, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the North Western University in Chicago in the United States of America. Professor Simpson said: It follows, I think, that not only is there no conflict between genetics and religion, but in fact religion can guide science by adding revelation to some traditional scientific approaches. That there exists statements in the Quran shown by science to be valid, which supports knowledge in the Quran having been derived from Allah.
[Professor Palmer a scientist from the U.S.] We need research into the history of early Middle Eastern oral traditions to know whether in fact such historical events have been reported. If there is no such record, it strengthens the belief that Allah transmitted through Muhammad bits of his knowledge that we have only discovered for ourselves in recent times. We look forward to a continuing dialogue on the topic of science in the Quran in the context of geology. Thank you very much.
[Professor Tagata Tagasone, formerly Head of the Department of Anatomy and Embryology at the University of Shiang Mai in Thailand. He is now the Dean of the College of the Medicine at the University.]
From my studies and from what I have learned throughout this conference, I believe that everything that has been recorded in the Quran 1400 years ago must be the truth, that can be proved by the scientific means. Since the Prophet Muhammad could neither read nor write, Muhammad must be a messenger who relayed this truth which was revealed to him as an enlightenment by the One Who is an Eligible Creator. This Creator must
be Allah, or Allah. Therefore, I think this is the time to say ‘Laa ilaaha illallah’, that there is no Allah to worship except Allah, ‘Muhammad Rasool Allah’, Muhammad is messenger of Allah...
[Professor Armstrong, Scientist works at NASA] I am impressed that how remarkably some of the ancient writings seem to correspond to modern and recent Astronomy. There may well have to be something beyond what we understand as ordinary human experience to account for the writings that we have seen.
[Professor Durga Rao] It is difficult to imagine that this type of knowledge was existing at that time, around 1400 years back. May be some of the things they have simple idea about, but do describe those things in great detail is very difficult. So, this is definitely not a simple human knowledge.
"No other society has such a record of success in uniting in an equality of status, of opportunity and Endeavour so many and so varied races of mankind. The great Muslim communities of Africa, India and Indonesia, perhaps also the small community in
Japan, show that Islam has still the power to reconcile apparently irreconcilable elements of race and tradition. If
ever the opposition of the great societies of the East and west is to be replaced by cooperation, the mediation of Islam is
an indispensable condition." [H.A.R. Gibb, WHITHER ISLAM, p. 379]
The nation's claim to be a Christian country is about to meet its first challenge: the number of practising Muslims is set to overtake Anglican Christians.... There has also been a number of high-profile conversions to Islam from Christianity. These include Mike Tyson, the former world champion boxer; Chris Eubank, the British middleweight boxing champion, who has changed his name to Hamdan; and Cat Stevens, the pop musician, who calls himself Yusuf Islam.... Prince Charles courted controversy earlier this year when he reaffirmed his
claim that when he succeeds the throne, he does not wish to be the defender of only the Christian faith. [Rajeev Syal and Christopher Morgan Sunday Times (London, U.K.)]
Savior of Humanity (Muhammad) - George Bernard Shaw
"I have studied him - the wonderful man - and in my opinion far from being an anti-Christ he must be called the saviour of humanity. " [George Bernard Shaw in "The Genuine Islam"]
Muhammad - inspired man - founder of Islam James A. Michener - famous author
"Muhammad, the inspired man who founded Islam, was born about A.D. 570 into an Arabian tribe that worshipped idols. Orphaned at birth, he was always particularly solicitous of the poor and needy, the widow and the orphan, the slave and the downtrodden. At twenty, he was already a successful businessman, and soon became director of camel caravans for a wealthy widow. When he reached twenty-five, his employer, recognizing his merit, proposed marriage. Even though she was fifteen years older, he married her, and as long as she lived, remained a devoted husband. "Like almost every major prophet before him, Muhammad fought shy of serving as the transmitter of God's word, sensing his own inadequacy. But the angel commanded 'Read.' So far as we know, Muhammad was unable to read or write, but he began to dictate those inspired words which would soon revolutionize a large segment of the earth: 'There is one God.' "In all things Muhammad was profoundly practical. When his beloved son Ibrahim died, an eclipse occurred, and rumours of God's personal condolence quickly arose. Whereupon Muhammad is said to have announced, 'An eclipse is a phenomenon of nature. It is foolish to attribute such things to the death or birth of a human being. "At Muhammad's own death an attempt was made to deify him, but the man who was to become his administrative successor killed the hysteria with one of the noblest speeches in religious history: 'If there are any among you who worshipped Muhammad, he is dead. But if it is God you worshipped, He lives forever." [James A. Michener, "Islam: The Misunderstood Religion," in READER'S DIGEST (American edition), May 1955, pp. 68-70.]
"In little more than a year he was actually the spiritual, nominal and temporal rule of Medina, with his hands on the lever that was to shake the world." [John Austin, "Muhammad the Prophet of Allah," in T.P. 's and Cassel's Weekly for 24th September 1927.]
"Four years after the death of Justinian, A.D. 569, was born at Mecca, in Arabia the man who, of all men exercised the greatest influence upon the human race . . . Mohammed . . . " [John William Draper, M.D., L.L.D., A History of the Intellectual Development of Europe, London 1875, Vol.1, pp.329-330]
"Muhammad was the soul of kindness, and his influence was felt and never forgotten by those around him." [Diwan Chand Sharma, The Prophets of the East, Calcutta 1935, p. l 22.]
"People like Pasteur and Salk are leaders in the first sense. People like Gandhi and Confucius, on one hand, and Alexander, Caesar and Hitler on the other, are leaders in the second and perhaps the third sense. Jesus and Buddha belong in the third category alone. Perhaps the greatest leader of all times was Mohammed, who combined all three functions. To a lesser
degree, Moses did the same." [Professor Jules Masserman]
[Ahmed Versi, editor of the weekly Muslim News,] said the growth of Islam has been constant: "The younger generation of Muslims that I have encountered is becoming more aware of its Muslim identity and is therefore practising its faith with vigour."

"I have always held the religion of Muhammad in high estimation because of its wonderful vitality. It is the only religion which appears to me to possess that assimilating capacity to the changing phase of existence which can make itself appeal to every age. I have studied him - the wonderful man and in my opinion for from being an anti-Christ, he must be called the Saviour of Humanity. I believe that if a man like him were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it the much needed peace and happiness: I have prophesied about the faith of Muhammad that it would be acceptable to the Europe of tomorrow as it is beginning to be acceptable to the Europe of today." "The rise of Islam is perhaps the most amazing event in human history. Springing from a land and a people like previously negligible, Islam spread within a century over half the earth, shattering great empires, overthrowing long established religions, remoulding the souls of races, and building up a whole new world - world of Islam.
"The closer we examine this development the more extraordinary does it appear. The other great religions won their way slowly, by painful struggle and finally triumphed with the aid of powerful monarchs converted to the new faith. Christianity had its Constantine, Buddhism its Asoka, and Zoroastrianism its Cyrus, each lending to his chosen cult the mighty force of secular authority. Not so Islam. Arising in a desert land sparsely inhabited by a nomad race previously undistinguished in human annals, Islam sallied forth on its great adventure with the slenderest human backing and against the heaviest material odds. Yet Islam triumphed with seemingly miraculous ease, and a couple of generations saw the Fiery Crescent borne victorious from the Pyrenees to the Himalayas and from the desert of Central Asia to the deserts of Central Africa." "He was Caesar and Pope in one; but he was Pope without Pope's pretensions, Caesar without the legions of Caesar without a standing army, without a bodyguard, without a palace, without a fixed revenue; if ever any man had the right to say that he ruled by the right divine, it was Mohammed, for he had all the power without its instruments and without its supports." "His readiness to undergo persecutions for his beliefs, the high moral character of the men who believed in him and looked up to him as leader, and the greatness of his ultimate achievement - all argue his fundamental integrity. To suppose Muhammad an impostor raises more problems than it solves. Moreover, none of the great figures of history is so poorly appreciated in the West as Muhammad." [W. Montgomery Watt, MOHAMMAD AT MECCA, Oxford, 1953, p. 52.]
"The doctrine of brotherhood of Islam extends to all human beings, no matter what color, race or creed. Islam is the only religion which has been able to realize this doctrine in practice. "It is impossible for anyone who studies the life and character of the great Prophet of Arabia, who knows how he taught and how he lived, to feel anything but reverence for that mighty Prophet, one of the great messengers of the Supreme. And although in what I put to you I shall say many things which may be familiar to many, yet I myself feel whenever I re-read them, a new way of admiration, a new sense of reverence for that mighty Arabian teacher." "The essential and definite element of my conversion to Islam was the Qur'an. I began to study it before my conversion with the critical spirit of a Western intellectual .... There are certain verses of this book, the Qur'an, revealed more than thirteen centuries ago, which teach exactly the same notions as the most modern scientific researches do. This definitely converted me." [Ali Selman Benoist, France, Doctor of Medicine.]
"I have read the Sacred Scriptures of every religion; nowhere have I found what I encountered in Islam: perfection. The Holy Qur'an, compared to any other scripture I have read, is like the Sun compared to that of a match. I firmly believe that anybody who reads the Word of Allah with a mind that is not completely closed to Truth, will become a Muslim." [Saifuddin Dirk Walter Mosig, U.S.A.]

"Medieval Islam was technologically advanced and open to innovation. It achieved far higher literacy rates than in contemporary Europe; it assimilated the legacy of classical Greek civilization to such a degree that many classical books are now known to us only through Arabic copies. It invented windmills ,trigonometry, lateen sails and made major advances in metallurgy, mechanical and chemical engineering and irrigation methods. In the middle-ages the flow of technology was overwhelmingly from Islam to Europe rather from Europe to Islam. Only after the 1500's did the net direction of flow begin to reverse." The scientists who participated in these dialogues were all non-Muslims, most of whom were explaining some scientific facts which they have realized only very recently and after several years of research and study. When they were told that what they have just discovered recently was already referred to either directly or indirectly in the Holy Quran more than 1400 years ago, they showed a great deal of astonishment. Their comments were varied, but almost all of them confessed that this Quran could not have come from any human or ordinary source. Indeed, some of them were convinced and have affirmed that the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, is a messenger from Allah, to the point that one of them even embraced Islam by declaring the Islamic creed otherwise known as the "Shahaadah" and thus became a Muslim.
The Quran which was revealed 14 centuries ago mentioned facts only recently discovered by proven scientists. This proves without doubt that the Quran must be the literal word of Allah, revealed by Him to the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) and it also proves that Muhammad (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) is truly a Messenger and Prophet sent by Allah. It is beyond reason that anyone fourteen hundred years ago would have known these facts discovered or proven only recently with advanced equipment and sophisticated methods. Moreover, the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) reviewed the Quran with the Angel Jibreel once each year and twice in the last year of his life. Since the Quran was revealed up until this day, there has always been a huge number of Muslims who have memorized all of the Quran, letter by letter. Some of them have been able to memorize all of the Quran by Heart.

Positif berbincang

Julai 21, 2008
Salam Kamunting,
Ramai datang bertanya saya mengenai rundingan PAS-UMNO.
Bila saya jawab, harapan saya ia menenangkan mereka.
Kita perlukan undi kualiti. Setiap kita ada satu undi. Tetapi undi seorang ‘Carburator Dung’ untuk PAS tak sama dengan undi seorang tuan guru. Undi tuan guru mengaut ribuan undi pengikutnya. Itulah undi kualiti. Jikalah kita pemilik undi kualiti..
Ramaikah? Mungkin, tetapi ia tak mungkin diimpikan daripada mereka melebihi harapan kepada umat Melayu Islam sendiri.
Gobala mungkin ya, tetapi belum lagi Tian Chua, apatah Xavier Fernandes.
UMNO jahat kerana mereka berkuasa. DAP sudah pun tunjuk belang sebelum mereka berkuasa. Mereka tidak pernah menerima sistem Islam. Hanya wujud beberapa individu yang tampak bersedia menerima. Apa beza dengan UMNO? Anda yakin mereka lebih baik? Yakin? Atau itu hanya satu telahan daripada jutaan. Anda kata UMNO sudah terbukti. Saya kata, DAP sudah terbukti. Adakah anda menunggu bukti sesudah mereka berkuasa?
Cerita panjang Hudaibiyah bacalah sendiri. Ada masa saya akan ulas, insya Allah. Sekarang saya malas.
Baginda mengajar kita politik.
Adakah anda tak nak belajar politik damai sesudah anda mahir politik perang? Nak tak nak? Hah..?
Adakah HAMAS berkata, NO for peace with Israel? Tidakkan?
Tidakkah kita diangap pengkhianat? Kita pengkhianat rakyat?
Saya yakin PKR tidak akan dipinggirkan. Salah besar jika PAS meminggirkan PKR.
Maka jangan kata PAS khianat. Yang khianat ialah rakyat.
Politik tiada hukum selain siasah syar’ieyah. Siasah syar’ieyah bergerak bagai air yang mengalir. Di mana Islam dijunjung, di situlah ia bertakhta.
Jangan hidup dalam teka teki kehidupan. Teka teki membingungkan.
Saya harapkan persefahaman berlaku demi Islam. Saya tak harapkan penggabungan berlaku. Saya tak nampak baiknya berbanding hodohnya.
5) Tidakkah ahli PAS akan marah jika perdamaian PAS - UMNO berlaku? Bagaimana jika rakyat marah, apatah bukan Islam?

Debate itself the winner
KUALA LUMPUR. July 15 — It doesn't matter who the winner was in the first-ever American-style live TV debate in the country tonight — with Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek taking centrestage to argue about fuel price hikes. The real winner was the debate itself.
Concluded quickly within an hour with a format quite similar to the American presidential candidate debates, with a rostrum each for the debater on stage, the most glaring thing for all to see was the quality of debate.
Some may say Anwar, the de facto leader of Parti Keadilan Rakyat, won the debate as he focused on the issue at hand — the fuel price hike — while Ahmad Shabery, the Information Minister, seemed to take cheap shots at Anwar especially his younger days as a rabble rouser.
Anwar proposed to reduce the current petrol pump price by 50 sen the moment his opposition coalition of PKR, PAS and DAP take over the Federal Government.
"Petronas has announced a special dividend RM6 billion to the government for this year. Why can't I take RM1 billion of that to reduce the petrol price by 50 sen?" he said to applause from a section of the 300-strong audience in the Dewan Bahasa and Pustaka Hall in Kuala Lumpur.
Elaborating further, he promised to slash pump prices further once his Pakatan Rakyat coalition took over, saying it is an initial 50 sen because the Barisan Nasional government had just hiked prices by 70 sen from RM1.92 per litre previously.
The former deputy prime minister made it clear from the start of the debate that he was not questioning national oil company Petronas but his criticisms were directed at the BN government which he alleged was rife with mismanagement and economic abuse, citing Malaysia's high electricity reserves as a waste as it only benefited the independent power producers (IPPs).
A view of the audience watching the debate between the two politicians.
He argued the government could save RM2 billion from reducing electricity reserves, adding an additional RM3 billion to finance the 50-sen reduction can be sourced elsewhere. "Five billion is enough to help lighten the burden on the rakyat. The Perwaja bailout was RM13 billion of government money."
In his reply, Ahmad Shabery argued that "if we continue at RM1.92, it means the government is forced to bear the subsidy of RM50 billion and this means many development programmes, building of schools, roads and improving people's livelihood cannot be implemented.”
"We should know that the price increase is not our doing but due to the world oil price crisis. This is not the first time we have had a world oil crisis. The first time was in 1973-74 when after the Arab-Israeli Ramadan war. Oil price increased by 400 per cent, from US$10 a barrel to US$40 in six months.
"But it was also an important year because the late Tun Razak (the then Prime Minister) set up Petronas in a pressured situation because the world outside pressured us not to take away the rights given to Shell at that time. Shell was set up by the British before they left," he said, also to applause from his supporters.
The information minister also explained that subsidies could not be sustained for a long time because it would hamper real economic growth.
In a question-and-answer session, Ahmad Shabery was asked about the RM4.3 billion savings from an earlier fuel price increase in 2006 that was meant to be used to improve public transport but only RM834 million was used for that purpose, leading people to be cynical about the purported RM13 billion in savings in the latest subsidy cut.
The minister dismissed the question, saying that in 2006 the international fuel price was just US$70 a barrel whereas it has now reached US$140 a barrel, and went on to argue that countries such as Venezuela and Iran which heavily subsidised fuel had very high inflation rates.
Anwar however argued that Malaysia's real inflation rate of some eight per cent was caused by economic mismanagement, not by the global oil price increase. "If the Barisan Nasional says that the fuel price can be increased in a sudden and it will not be followed by increasing price of goods and services, I want to know who teaches them this kind of economic management.
"We're an oil-producing country and for every US$1 increase per barrel, we make RM360 million. Why can't we do something good with this?" Anwar thundered.
To this, Ahmad Shabery argued that Malaysia was not even in the top 20 oil-producing countries list, let alone a major player.
"We're just a small nett exporter of oil. Our profits are only 26 per cent of our oil revenue. The rest we received from the (Petronas) investments. By 2015, when we become a nett importer of oil, will we then adhere to the global price?"
In reply, Anwar said: "Who told us that our oil will deplete in 2015? Thirty years ago Petronas projected that our oil will run out by 2005. It's just a projection. I believe we have a lot more capacity."
When Ahmad Shabery pointed out that Anwar too was responsible for problems pertaining to the IPPs which are still reaping profits despite the current economic situation as he was a Cabinet minister then, the former finance minister demanded a check of record to prove that he had opposed the IPP plans approved by former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Towards the end of the debate, Ahmad Shabery repeated his argument that Anwar was still a rabble rouser and that during Anwar's time in the government he would never allowed others, especially the opposition, to participate in an open debate such as the one held tonight.
Ahmad Shabery had earlier accused Anwar of inciting the people to rise up against the government over claims of poverty in Baling, Kedah in 1974.
Pointing out these were cheap shots, Anwar explained that he was here to debate an economic issue only but would be willing to debate on other matters, including personal allegations against him, at another forum.
Besides a minor fracas before the start of the debate outside the hall as well as a very heavy police presence around the building and the surrounding area, the event, organised by AgendaDaily.com was a largely peaceful event. It was telecast live on TV9 and Astro channels 119, 501 and 502 apart from being webcast by IP Global TV.

Sudut kedua, soal mengepalai GPR.
Begitu lunak kata-kata Zulkiflee. Mengapa tiba-tiba Zulkiflee begitu lunak?

Ustaz Sebagai Sumber Penenang Masyarakat
” Ustaz, tolonglah kami. Kawan bilik kami ini macam kena rasuk je. Sekejap dia meracau, sekejap dia menangis, sekejap dia ketawa. Tolong la ustaz.” rayu seorang pelajar kepada saya, bunyinya macam baru lepas menangis.
” Sekejap ye. Ustaz masih dalam perjalanan ni” jawab saya. Kemudian saya meletak telefon.
” Adus, dah hampir pukul dua ni” getus hati saya.
Kerana saya seorang ustaz. Sebelum saya masuk berubat, pesakit tidak menutup aurat, saya minta rakan-rakannya tutupkan auratnya kerana saya seorang ustaz.
Realiti sesetengah masyarakat masih lagi menghormati seorang yang bernama ustaz. Padanyalah mereka menjadi tempat rujukan masyarakat.
You bukan saintis, you bukan researcher, you duduk di masjid sudah la. Jangan pandai-pandai buat hukuman”
” Kalau dah tahu bukan bidang, tak payah la nak masuk campur urusan pengurusan syarikat” suara pengarah tempat amir, seorang jurutera semakin meninggi.
Semoga kita salah seorang daripadanya.
Kepada semua masyakat, izinkanlah kami berperanan kerana kami seorang ustaz.(ridhauddin.com)
